Job summary

Pantzer LLC is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor for The Point Stamford, a modern Class A community in downtown Stamford. The role is hands-on and not a people-management position, working with the Maintenance Supervisor to handle service requests, repairs, and move-ins.

The candidate should have multifamily or related maintenance experience, strong problem-solving and customer-service skills, and be able to operate within safety standards and company procedures.

Qualifications

• HVAC or EPA certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to live within ~30 minutes of the property for on call coverage.
• Successful completion of background and drug screenings.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Diagnose and perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance and general property repairs.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move in.
• Help coordinate apartment turnovers and identify outstanding maintenance needs.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards.
• Respond to after hours maintenance emergencies during on-call rotation.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors and onsite team members.

What Were Looking for in an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor Candidate

Previous hands on multifamily apartment hotel commercial or residential maintenance experienceStrong working knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical appliance repair preventive maintenance and apartment turnoversAbility to independently diagnose problems and complete repairs efficientlyStrong customer service communication organization and problem solving skillsAbility to manage daily priorities and complete work with limited supervisionAvailability to participate in the on call rotation and respond to emergencies when neededAbility to live within approximately 30 minutes of the property for on call coverageValid drivers licenseAbility to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writingBasic computer skills and the ability to use property management and work order systemsKnowledge of applicable safety requirements and building codesHVAC or EPA certification preferredSuccessful completion of required background and drug screenings before employment
