Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in Navy ship maintenance
  • 5 years of recent experience in aircraft carrier repair, maintenance, and modernization
  • 5 years of experience planning and coordinating ship repair and maintenance
  • 3 years of experience in TYCOM staff procedures or equivalent
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain/maintain SECRET clearance
  • Willing and able to travel as required

The

  • Assist the Maintenance Program Managers (MPM) and CVN Deputy Force Maintenance Officer by providing engineering, technical, and administrative analysis services to support current material readiness, maintenance availability development, and local CNAP coordination.
  • Assist Ship's Force in developing and the MPM in screening Current Ship's Maintenance Project (CSMP) entries.
  • Track the readiness of Ship Change Documents (SCDs) and Alterations (ALTs), coordinate ship checks for modernization, and participate in Modernization Readiness.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing CVN maintenance, repairs, and scheduled CNO availabilities/upkeep periods.
  • Assist in screening routine and emergent work items to repair activities.
  • Track and report the status of active CVN Casualty Reports (CASREPs) and maintain MFOM CASREP summaries, working with stakeholders to coordinate onboard, telephone, and email technical assistance.
  • Monitor CVN Steam Plant Action Requests (SPARs) and Steam Plant Liaison Inquires (SPLIs) for technical direction necessitating Intermediate or Depot level repair actions.
  • Interact with the CVN Maintenance Supervisor to integrate lessons learned into availability planning and assist in maintaining N431 SharePoint documents.
  • Assist the Japan CNAP N43 team (for the FDNF FTE) with administrative issues including leave and Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) tracking, badging, and TYCOM training.
  • Develop and present "Ship in the Spotlight" and other planning/execution briefs to N43 alongside the MPM.
  • Represent the MPM in Modernization Readiness Assessment (MRA) conferences and the FDNF MPM in Availability Work Package Knowledge Sharing Network (AWP KSN) meetings.
  • Provide a monthly status report detailing work accomplished, progress, problem areas, significant results, recommendations, and planned work.
  • Conduct authorized travel as approved by the TA and COR, anticipating up to three (3) trips per year to Washington D.C. for San Diego and Bremerton personnel, and three (3) trips per year (two to San Diego, one to Washington D.C.) for FDNF personnel.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree OR High School Diploma

  • 10 years of experience in Navy ship maintenance or possess current experience in the role.
  • 5 years of recent experience working in aircraft carrier repair, maintenance, and modernization in support of Navy, Program Office, and Type Commander programs.
  • 5 years of experience planning and coordinating ship repair and maintenance.
  • 3 years of experience in Type Commander (TYCOM) staff procedures or possess current experience in the role.
  • Possess knowledge of Type Commander, shipboard, regional maintenance center, and Naval Sea Systems Command organizations and functions related to ship maintenance and modernization.
  • Have the ability to communicate and interface with senior Navy personnel (O6/GS-15) on a routine basis.
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • Willing and able to travel as required to support mission objectives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Documented maintenance experience at the GS-12 equivalent level.
  • Documented experience working at or in an industrial facility.

Compensation at Noblis

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
