Noblis is seeking an engineer with strong AutoCAD skills to lead Technical Data Package development for Machinery Control Systems, Repair Station Consoles, and Engine Controllers on the DDG-51 Modernization program. This high-ownership role involves managing baselines, creating installation drawings, and coordinating with multiple teams and government stakeholders.
The position includes on-site onboarding at LBES with potential hybrid work later and occasional ship checks.
This position is for an engineer with strong AutoCAD skills and a detail-oriented approach to engineering documentation. You will serve as the Technical Data Package (TDP) lead for Machinery Control Systems (MCS), Repair Station Consoles (RSC), and Engine Controllers (EC) on the DDG-51 Modernization (MOD) and related Tech Refresh (TR) programs.
This is a high-ownership role. You will independently manage configuration baselines, produce installation drawings, maintain tracking databases, coordinate across multiple engineering teams and government stakeholders, and occasionally travel to ships to verify legacy configurations firsthand. You will work in direct support of the NSWCPD Code 552 DDG MCS Waterfront Engineering team. Training and mentorship on program-specific processes will be provided, but candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of deliverables and driving tasks to completion with minimal supervision.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required; no equivalencies or experience substitutions will be considered.
