Role Overview

As an Assistant Maintenance Manager (AMM), you will oversee maintenance operations at a single site, ensuring the reliability and performance of engineering assets. This role is vital for fostering safety, operational excellence, and team development. You will report to the Maintenance Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager and contribute to the efficiency of the site and the achievement of shared goals.

Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership
  • Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with safety protocols, safety training, and regular safety audits.
  • Oversee safety metrics and ensure timely incident resolution.
  • Address safety concerns proactively and collaborate with safety specialists and site leaders.
Operational Excellence
  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Monitor KPIs like maintenance completion rates, breakdown resolution, and OEE.
  • Ensure timely work order completion and effective tracking of site issues.
Leadership and Team Development
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Conduct regular meetings and coaching sessions.
  • Identify high-potential employees and support their development.
Collaboration and Client Support
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for maintenance issues.
  • Participate in daily site meetings and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Administrative Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Maintain accurate data in CMMS and support inventory and budget management.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years in a management role overseeing maintenance teams, with strong leadership and safety commitment.
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in related fields or 5+ years of relevant management experience.
  • Certifications like CMRP or PMP preferred.
  • Experience with conveyor systems and robotics.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 50 lbs., perform physical tasks wearing PPE, and walk long distances daily.

Compensation and Benefits
