Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking a production operator for the Great Lakes Division in Richfield, WI. This on-site, full-time role supports equipment setup, runs, and quality checks in a corrugated packaging environment.

You will read measurements, assist with setup, minimize waste, and maintain safety while meeting production targets. Prior laminating or adhesives experience is a plus, and mechanical or manufacturing background is valued.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience with laminating or adhesives is preferred.
  • Ability to read a ruler and understand fractions.
  • Corrugated industry experience preferred.
  • Previous mechanical or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in set-up of equipment accurately and safely.
  • Inspect before and after runs to ensure repairs are made.
  • Minimize material waste (sheet, label, adhesive).
  • Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
  • Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups.
  • Perform continuous quality control by randomly checking size, material, print, and glue.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all communications.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in set-up of equipment accurately and in accordance with proper and safe setup techniques.
  • Inspect before and after running to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before next run.
  • Minimize material sheet, label, and adhesive waste.
  • Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups.
  • Perform continuous quality control: select material at random to check size, material, print and glue.
  • Abide by all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.
