Job summary

The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services (DABS) in Ogden is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, staff scheduling, training, and delivering excellent customer service at the state liquor store.

This full-time in-person role requires prior retail management experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including Sundays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment with a track record of developing employees.
• Must be 21 years or older and able to pass a background check.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule.
• Ability to work Sundays/holidays per business needs.
• Strong personal accountability and commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations in partnership with Store Manager.
• Schedule staff, delegate tasks, train employees, and monitor performance.
• Oversee accounts receivable, payments, receipts, and deposits; manage payroll records.
• Oversee inventory, merchandising, stock receipt, and stock checks.
• Drive exceptional customer service and process wholesale orders; ensure compliance with state laws.
