TrulyHired is seeking an Assistant Learning Specialist in Blacksburg, Virginia to support student-athletes facing academic challenges. This full-time role involves one-on-one assistance for those with disabilities or academic risks, working collaboratively in a flexible environment.
Preferred candidates should have a master’s degree or be pursuing one and possess strong communication skills. The position offers competitive hourly pay and the opportunity to work closely with the Learning Assistance Program team.
This full-time internship experience is designed to provide an individual with the opportunity to grow and develop the necessary skills needed to advance their career into the field of student‑athlete academic support.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Learning Assistance Program (LAP), the Assistant Learning Specialist will work with the LAP team to provide one‑on‑one support to student‑athletes who have education‑impacting disabilities or who are academically at‑risk. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
