Job summary

ProAmpac is hiring at our Cary, IL facility for a skilled labor role in a fast-paced, safety-focused production environment.

The job requires 1-2 years of experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and proactive problem-solving to support lamination operations and maintenance tasks. Expect daytime scheduling with strong team collaboration and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and develop solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assists with machine setup, loads materials, adjusts settings as directed by the operator.
• Monitors lamination machine operations and notifies issues or malfunctions.
• Assists with routine maintenance and parts replacement to ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoots minor technical issues under guidance of operator or maintenance personnel.
• May fill-in or run the machine during shift changes or as needed.
• Keeps work area safe and organized and adheres to PPE policies.
• Completes production logs including output and downtime.
• Collaborates with other departments and team members as directed by supervisors.

Salary Range: $18.75 - $23 (pending experience)

Hours: Monday through Friday - 2pm - 12am

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with machine setup, prepares machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator.
• Supplies raw material or compotent specific to the lamination machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels.
• Monitors lamination machine operations, observes the machine during operation to ensure the machine is running as expected, notifying the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions.
• Assists with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings, or other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
• Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing standard tasks such as removing debris or waste materials.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes, including but not limited to, production output, machine downtime, or any maintenance or repair activities.
• Effectively works with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team as directed by supervisors.
• All other duties as assigned.
