Job Title: Assistant, Lab, Automotive
Type: Part-time
Description: This position provides basic support to automotive laboratory operations under the direction of the Program Director and faculty. Up to 25 hours/week.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing automotive shop exercises and activities, ensuring all equipment, vehicles, and supplies are ready.
2. Maintaining shop facilities, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized manner.
3. Using hand tools, troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and organizing storage areas.
4. Ensuring security and safety of facilities, equipment, and instructional materials.

Additional duties:

• Perform safety and security checks.
• Assist students with machines and vehicles as needed.
• Follow special project instructions.
• Report safety violations to instructors.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.
• Automotive degree, diploma, or certificate preferred.
• At least two years of relevant automotive shop/dealership experience required.
• Experience maintaining and auditing shop environments preferred.

Physical and professional standards:

• Work in an automotive shop environment with students of all ages.
• Uphold professional standards and safety rules.
