Sous Chef - Scottsdale

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Food Preparation: Responsibility for plating, cooking and the presentation of food using established recipes and guidelines.
• Inventory: Conducts weekly inventory and works with head chef in ordering
• System Management: Handles data entry and management systems including ordering, inventory, scheduling, and using computer systems to execute tasks and manage food and labor costs
• Team Performance: Assists with the hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing work, providing performance management and team member discipline
• Kitchen: Ensures proper maintenance, operations and usage of kitchen equipment. Maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, walk-in and freezer areas.
• Safety: Enforces health and safety standards

Must have the following qualifications:

• Must obtain Title 4 Certification and Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools
• 1 year minimum experience as a sous chef
• Strong organization. planning, communication and time management skills
