Job summary

Texas Roadhouse is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing the Back of House operations, including ordering, receiving, preparation, and presentation of food.

The role involves supervising production, enforcing policies, monitoring tickets, inventory management, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and coaching back-of-house staff to ensure consistent, high-quality food and service.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and oversees the production of food
• Enforces compliance with employment policies in the area of responsibility
• Monitors tickets and sets the pace during peak hours
• Manages through hands-on supervision of the restaurant including serving, hosting, cooking, etc.
• Conducts formal line Taste and Temp checks
• Ensures proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items
• Manages inventory and tracks waste
• Maintains cleanliness and proper maintenance of equipment
• Ensures consistency in food and service to increase sales
• Practices safe food handling procedures
• Ensures Back of House employees follow established recipes and procedures
• Creates a safe environment and develops Back of House staff
• Maintains restaurant cleanliness and guest safety at all times
• Maintains the restaurant culture and upholds core values: passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose
