Job summary

Salted is hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager in Oakland. You will support quality control, maintain safe kitchen operations, and help manage inventory and staff in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

We offer full-time AM/PM/mid shifts with an hourly pay range of $27–$32. Candidates should have at least 2 years of kitchen experience and 1 year of leadership, with a commitment to clean, compliant food preparation and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience.
• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
• Solid knife/prep and basic station skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support quality control and food presentation standards.
• Communicate effectively with the Hospitality Team for excellent customer service.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and developing kitchen staff.
• Assist in managing inventory, conducting audits, and overseeing the budget.
• Help meet financial and operational targets.
• Ensure compliance with recipes and portion sizes.
• Report and resolve customer service issues.
• Assist in scheduling staff and processing payroll.
• Support inventory counts and daily labor management.
• Address equipment and technical issues.
• Assist in executing catering orders while maintaining kitchen service.
