Salted in Hayward, CA is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager for a full-time role with AM, PM, and mid shifts. Compensation ranges from $27–$32 per hour.

You’ll lead quality control, coordinate with the Hospitality Team, and support inventory, payroll, and budgeting while upholding safety and great service. Join a growth‑driven, meal‑focused team offering medical/dental/vision, 401k with employer match after year one, and free meals each shift.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in culinary skills, including knife/prep work and flat-top cooking.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum of 2 years of kitchen experience and 1 year in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Support quality control and food presentation standards.
• Communicate with Hospitality Team for excellent customer service.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and developing kitchen staff.
• Assist in inventory, audits, and budget management.
• Help meet financial and operational targets.
• Ensure adherence to recipes and portion sizes.
• Report and resolve customer service issues.
• Assist scheduling staff and processing payroll.
• Support daily labor management and inventory counts.
• Address equipment and technical issues.
• Assist in executing catering orders while maintaining kitchen service.
