The Assistant Kitchen Manager supports back-of-house team members and Kitchen Managers by maintaining restaurant kitchen standards and ensuring quality. The ideal candidate is a leadership-oriented individual who enjoys coaching and helping run efficient back-of-house operations.

Position Details

• Maintain high employment standards in line with Bloomin' Brands policies.
• Assist with kitchen setup for opening shifts.
• Check schedules for incoming team members.
• Enforce security procedures.
• Evaluate the previous night's close.
• Review daily inventory.
• Prepare to receive orders.
• Monitor shelf-life adherence.
• Check temperatures of freezer, dish machine, and refrigeration units before prep.
• Learn flavor profiles and menu specifications.
• Follow recipe cards precisely.
• Review sanitation checklists and conduct inspections.
• Conduct daily health inspections.
• Adhere to sanitation, temperature, and food safety standards.
• Manage ticket flow and timing to ensure quality cook times.

Minimum Requirements

• Certified trainer in back-of-house functions.
• Passing grade on assessment tests.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Minimum age of 21 years.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in the restaurant industry.
• Previous leadership roles.
• Proficiency in all back-of-house functions.
