Summary

The primary responsibility of the Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager is to create an enjoyable shopping experience for guests, performing sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by management. They work closely with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit, and lead Teammates. The Assistant Manager role is a progression from the AIT position, involving additional high-level duties.

Sales Generation and Guest Service

• Greet guests warmly and provide legendary service
• Answer questions and recommend merchandise based on guest needs
• Suggest additional items and create a fitting room experience
• Demonstrate product knowledge and share sales education
• Stay informed about current promotions and policies
• Achieve personal sales goals and maintain high standards of customer service
• Build guest relationships and develop a client-based business
• Lead by example in showmanship and service

Teammate Recruiting, Training, and Development

• Recognize recruiting opportunities and utilize various referral tools
• Coach and develop new Teammates
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote a positive store culture
• Participate in training and motivate Teammates to meet daily tasks
• Demonstrate product and denim fit expertise
• Assist in store education focus and team development

Operations

• Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Use planning tools and follow security and loss prevention guidelines
• Handle payments, returns, and exchanges professionally
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment
• Communicate effectively with corporate and store teams

Supervisory and Leadership

• Support and supportively communicate with leadership
• Support store growth and team development
