Job summary

Tarrant County College District (TCCD) Northeast Campus is seeking an Assistant II, Instructional Support - Dental Assisting to help with instructional tasks in a laboratory setting and assist teaching staff. The role is part-time with a maximum of 19.5 hours per week and not eligible for remote work.

The position requires an Associate's degree or 60 college hours with related experience, plus preferred credentials like a Texas RDA and BLS CPR.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 60 college hours with courses in the specialized field and two (2) years of work experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or any equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Current Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers classroom tests to student with disabilities
• Identifies academic needs of students and gives instructions needed to remedy deficiencies in specified discipline
• Helps students with study skills and methods of study
• Responds to technical needs
• Supports and coordinates activities with faculty
• Coordinates and schedules lab usage
• Prepares and maintains classrooms for applicable learning activities
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
