Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to plan, oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects nationwide. You will collaborate with the Commissioning Manager and subject-matter experts to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operable systems at project closeout.

This hybrid role requires on-site work at job sites with some remote days; travel between sites is expected. You will manage commissioning teams, develop schedules and procedures, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers.
• Experience managing project teams and coordinating stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, provide guidance and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status.
• Review requirements and develop milestone list, project plan, procedures.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA to align commissioning activities.
• Develop and maintain integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules, updated weekly.
• Develop commissioning resource plan for the project.
• Review energization procedures and assist with switching activities.
• Identify corrective actions for commissioning issues.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and track lessons learned.
