Job summary

Hyatt’s Spruce Peak in Vermont seeks an Assistant Human Resources Director to lead day-to-day HR operations, manage HR office administration, and foster a caring culture across the team. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave administration, training and engagement initiatives.

Working with the HR Director, you’ll help execute short- and long-term HR strategies, advising leaders and colleagues while Hyatt nurtures future HR Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Minimum of two years of HR experience in hospitality/ hotel environment.
• Strong HR generalist experience.
• Experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training & development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Highly organized with strong administrative and project management skills.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences.

We are looking for an Assistant Human Resources Director to join our team! This role is responsible for leading the day-to-day Human Resources function, overseeing all Human Resources office administration, and fostering a culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. Additionally, the AHRD assists in overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave of absence administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives.

In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, the Assistant Director assists with both short- and long-term HR strategy, executes hotel and company initiatives, and serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and colleagues. Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
• Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience.
• Strong Human Resources generalist experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for colleagues and guests through a lens of care.
