Job summary

Destination by Hyatt Spruce Peak seeks an Assistant Human Resources Director to lead daily HR operations, oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management within a luxury hotel setting in Stowe, VT.

Partner with the Director of Human Resources to shape HR strategy, advance initiatives, and advise leaders. The role emphasizes care, service excellence, and opportunities for growth across Hyatt properties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience.
Strong Human Resources generalist experience required.
Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for colleagues and guests through a lens of care.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day Human Resources operations and office administration.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and leave of absence administration.
Assist in developing HR strategy and partner with leaders to execute hotel and company initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to directors and teams and support career development.
Foster a culture that embodies Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best.
