The LINE Hotels in Austin is seeking a dynamic Assistant Housekeeping Manager to drive daily operations of the Housekeeping department. You will lead staff, enforce policies, and work with management on budgets and goals.

The role requires strong communication, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a collaborative approach to maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across boutique hotel properties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 3 years related experience in hospitality or service industry preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Collaborative spirit.
• Ethical conduct.
• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office, Opera PMS.
• Positive attitude.
• Eye for detail.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
• Experience with payroll control and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
• Establish and maintain communications with colleagues and other departments.
• Adhere to standards of operations and company policies.
• Keep open door communication with employees.
• Assist in interviewing, training, guiding, scheduling personnel.
• Contribute to development and implementation of processes and standards for departments.
• Monitor housekeeping for timely room readiness and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure staff are trained on systems, security, and service standards.
• Inspect rooms and public spaces for quality and cleanliness.
• Determine staffing levels based on forecasted business and schedule accordingly.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, and disbursement of linens and supplies.
• Supervise laundry operations or outsourced relationship.
• Coordinate room availability with Front Office Manager.
• Ensure accuracy and adherence to standards set by Housekeeping Manager and company.
• Communicate job expectations clearly and hold staff accountable.
• Understand guest and internal customer needs; meet company expectations.
• Maintain documentation in employee files.
• Familiarize with safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements.
• Attend relevant meetings.
