Job summary

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton is hiring an Assistant House Manager for IBHS - Residential in Ancora, NJ. This full-time role supports the Senior House Manager, coordinates staff schedules, and provides direct services to residents in a structured community setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or related field; or combination of college plus 4 years of related work experience.
• Hours: 40/week; schedule Tue–Sat 2:00PM–10:00PM.
• Position requires valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff work schedules with Senior House Manager and arrange substitute coverage when necessary.
• Complete required documentation per state and federal regulations.
• Ensure staff are knowledgeable of residents' goals and Recovery Plan objectives.
• Ensure Principles of Wellness and Recovery are used by all staff.
• Supervise staff when filling in for Senior House Manager.
• Coordinate monthly staff meetings with Senior House Manager.
• Provide direct service and support to consumers.
• Develop and oversee weekly activities to reinforce community living skills.
• Oversee petty cash and purchases as needed.
• Maintain inventories of household and food supplies and coordinate shopping.

Description

Under the direction of the Senior House Manager, coordinate staff work schedules, oversee petty cash, provide direct services to consumers living at the site(s) and stand in for the Senior House Manager during any absence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Coordinate staff work schedules with Senior House Manager, including arranging for substitute coverage when necessary
• Complete all required documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensure staff is knowledgeable of consumers stated goals and objectives on the Recovery Plan and implemented accordingly.
• Ensure Principles of Wellness and Recovery are consistently used by all staff.
• Responsible for supervisory responsibilities when filling in for the Senior House Manager.
• Coordinate a schedule of staff meetings on a monthly basis with the Senior House Manager to discuss consumer needs, staff training needs and overall concerns
• Provide direct service and support to consumers
• Develop and oversee a weekly schedule of activities within the house and within the local community to reinforce the learning of community living skills.
• Oversee petty cash and other purchases as necessary.
• Keep current inventories of household and food supplies, and coordinate shopping list.
