Schedule: Full time position. Must be flexible (day and evening). The role is located in Andover, MA.
WORK Inc., a progressive provider of services to adults with disabilities, is seeking a full‑time Assistant House Manager to support five individuals served in their own homes. The successful candidate will promote independence, empower people, and enhance their quality of life.
Essential Functions
- Assist in the development of maximum independence, responsibility, and self‑worth.
- Smooth operation of the program when the House Manager is off duty.
- Integrate quality‑of‑life ideals into daily management and future program development.
- Assess program participants’ independent living skills.
- Design and implement skill‑acquisition and behavior‑management programs for consumer caseloads.
- Collect necessary data to demonstrate the effectiveness of training programs; design data‑collection forms.
- Prepare and implement quarterly individual service plans, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Provide on‑the‑job supervision to CTS when the House Manager is not on duty.
- Maintain records for program participants on caseloads in a timely and complete manner.
- Provide guidance and support to program participants as needed.
- Meet regularly with program participants, vocational case managers, families, therapists, and other support staff to assure coordinated programming.
- Participate in the DDS ISP process.
- Assess consumer needs for supportive services and make referrals to appropriate agencies.
- Make arrangements for periodic and needed medical and dental care.
- Assist participants in using community resources.
- Design and implement money‑management programs for all participants.
- Attend regular house meetings, staff meetings, and individual supervision.
- Attend in‑service training programs.
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of building and grounds.
- Ensure staff coverage and provide coverage when needed.
- Obtain Human Rights Officer and Fire Safety Officer certifications.
- Carry out duties as assigned by the House Manager or Residential Director.
- Sign the Community Training Specialist Job Description as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with WORK Inc. company policy and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and train employees.
- Plan, assign, train, and direct work.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field, or one plus year of related experience and actively enrolled in a related degree program.
- Possession of a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and access to a vehicle in accordance with WORK Inc. policy.
- An acceptable CORI and SDIP.
