Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior swim coaching experience required; assistant high school coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge and experience about diving is a plus.
• Familiarity with Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) and NFHS rules for swimming.
• IHSAA/NFHS Coaching Certification preferred (can be completed after hire).
• First Aid and CPR certified; knowledge of concussion protocol.

Responsibilities

• Follow and maintain knowledge of IPS and IHSAA rules and guidelines for swimming.
• Instruct and demonstrate swim skills and technique for individuals and teams.
• Assist head coach with planning, organizing, tryouts, and conducting the sport.
• Assist head coach with developing training programs and practice schedules.
• Assist head coach with placing student-athletes in positions to be successful and contribute to team success.
• Assist head coach with game strategy and plays.
