Job summary

Virginia League for Planned Parenthood is seeking an Assistant Health Center Manager for our East End Clinic to support day-to-day operations and staff flow. The AHCM assists the Health Center Manager, coordinates staffing, ensures HIPAA/compliance, training, and service quality; prefers licensure and BLS.

This full-time, on-site role requires 1–2 years healthcare experience and a high school diploma; benefits include health insurance, 401k, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in a healthcare environment.
• High school diploma required; additional licensure encouraged (MA, LPN or other).
• Licensed staff must have BLS certification on file.

Responsibilities

• Serve as manager in absence of Health Center Manager (HCM).
• Coordinate staffing with HCM to meet patient schedule and maintain efficiency.
• Provide on-the-floor support to staff and aid flow facilitation across services.
• Participate in HR processes for health center staff including hiring, onboarding, training, and discipline.
• Ensure a client-centered service model while promoting responsive service delivery.
• Lead department efforts to meet goals for customer service, productivity, revenue, and compliance.
• Hold staff accountable to service standards and regulatory protocols (HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA).
• Provide feedback and support for performance improvements and excellent patient care.
