Qualifications

• 2+ years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in New York State.
• BSN is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS required for Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall operation of the unit and coordinate staffing under Nursing leadership.
• Ensure completion of patient assessments, nursing interventions, discharge planning, and patient education.
• Coordinate unit workflow for efficient patient care and policy compliance.
• Assist leadership in preparing staffing schedules and daily patient care assignments; participate in unit huddles.
• Maintain adherence to nursing department and hospital policies, safety, and infection control; support quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource and liaison among physicians, patients, staff, and families; participate in committees.
