Green Lake Nursery in Seagoville, TX is hiring a Growing - Assistant Grower to support cultivation and production in a wholesale environment. You will assist in planning, planting, nurturing, and harvesting to ensure high-quality yields that meet standards.

The role requires hands-on work, physical stamina, and adherence to safety protocols. Collaborate with the lead grower, maintain records, and operate growing equipment daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of plant biology and cultivation techniques.
• Experience in a horticultural or agricultural setting, preferably in a commercial growing environment.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Bachelor's degree or certification in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
• Experience with greenhouse or indoor growing systems.
• Knowledge of integrated pest management and organic growing practices.
• Proficiency in using agricultural technology and data tracking software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of growing areas, including soil preparation, planting, and irrigation setup.
• Monitor plant health regularly, identifying and addressing issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
• Support the implementation of integrated pest management and sustainable growing techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of planting schedules, growth progress, and environmental conditions.
• Collaborate with the lead grower to optimize crop yields and quality through data analysis and process adjustments.
• Operate and maintain growing equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist in harvesting, packaging, and preparing crops for distribution in accordance with company standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations related to growing operations.
