Job summary

Renew Cannabis Co. is seeking a hands-on Grower team member in California to execute cultivation plans, manage irrigation and climate controls, and ensure high-quality harvests. You will train new staff and maintain crop records while enforcing safety and crop standards.

You will also troubleshoot greenhouse and irrigation issues as part of daily operations. The role requires adherence to production timelines, passing horticulture training modules within six months, and continuing with Priva

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Executes the Grower’s plan according to the company’s production plan. Follows the type and timing of the preparations, crop tending and cleanup.
• Always alert for any potential safety risks or unknown entry.
• Manage the growing environment for optimal plant growth through irrigation, temperature, climate and pest & disease control systems in accordance with grower instructions.
• Execute/implement the Grower’s plan, and organize, direct, control, and/or coordinate activities of workers engaged in propagating, cultivating, and harvesting.
• Train new team members in cultivation techniques, including irrigation, and pest control while communicating needed tasks with the labor crew.
• Ensure all safety policies are followed and enforced and ensure strict crop growing practices are followed and enforced.
• Assist Grower in establishing and maintaining a program to record crop growth data (weekly crop report, climate report, maturation report, production, etc.).
• Maintain strain and phenotype data to assist with cultivation decisions.
• Coordinate planting activities with Operations Department.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Grower.
• Performs Quality Evaluations on Greenhouse work.
• Will need to able to trouble shoot Greenhouse and Irrigation issues.
• For this position you will need to complete modules: Introduction Horticulture, and Water- Introduction and successfully pass within the first 6 months. Then will continue to complete Priva Modules as assigned every 6 months after
