Job summary

Renew Cannabis Co. is looking for a dedicated horticulture technician to monitor pest pressure, diseases, and crop quality in our California greenhouse operations. You will manage irrigation systems, calibrate EC and pH sensors, and ensure settings align with grower recommendations.

Daily data logging and weekly reports will be part of your routine. The role requires completing Priva modules within six months and continued participation in additional modules every six months thereafter.

Qualifications

• Experience monitoring pest pressure and plant disease to ensure crop quality.
• Ability to monitor irrigation systems and calibrate EC and pH sensors.
• Willingness to complete required Priva modules within the first 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report pest pressure in the greenhouses to the grower.
• Monitor for disease and quality standards for crop work.
• Oversee specialty tasks such as planting and maintenance to protect production.
• Irrigate crops and calibrate all grow scales, EC and pH sensors.
• Ensure proper settings per discussions with the grower.
• Maintain drainage, dripper measurements and filter cleaning as specified.
• Record daily irrigation, drain, EC and pH on the grower's data board.
• Keep track of plant growth and weekly operation reports.

Job description

• Monitor and report pest pressure in the greenhouses to the grower.
• Monitor for disease plants and quality standards for crop work
• Monitor “specialty jobs” such as planting, pest & disease work and maintenance problems that could adversely impact production.
• Irrigation of crop, monitoring and calibrating all grow scales, over drain trays, EC and pH sensors.
• Monitor that the proper settings are implemented according to discussions with the grower.
• Ensure that the monitoring of the drain, dripper measurements, pathway bottles, back washing of the sand filters, cleaning of the disc filters and pressure of the irrigation system is taken care off, according to specifications of the grower.
• Sampling of fertilization to be done on a consistent base.
• To keep track of plant growth
• Monitor all irrigation of crop
• To insure that CO2 is monitored for correct dosage.
• Record daily irrigation, drain, EC and pH on the growers data board
• Record plant measurements
• Weekly operation report, given by the grower.
• For this position you will need to complete modules: Introduction Horticulture, Water- Introduction , Irrigation and Fertilization, which includes successfully passing them within the first 6 months.
