Glen Eagle Golf Club in Naples, FL seeks an Assistant Golf Professional / Assistant Merchandiser to support golf operations, merchandising, instruction, and member services. Qualifications

• Must be a PGA Member or actively pursuing PGA Membership.
• Associate's degree or equivalent golf industry experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with Golf Genius, GHIN, Chelsea Tee Time System (or similar), and POS software preferred.
• Knowledge of the Rules of Golf and handicap procedures.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours during the golf season.

Responsibilities

Overview

The Assistant Golf Professional / Assistant Merchandiser plays an integral role in delivering an exceptional golf experience for Glen Eagle members and guests. This position assists with all aspects of golf operations, including tournament administration, golf shop operations, merchandising, instruction, and member services. The successful candidate will also assist with merchandising responsibilities while supporting the Head Golf Professional in the daily management of the golf operation.

Experience Required

• PGA Member or PGA Associate actively pursuing PGA Membership
• Associate's degree or equivalent golf industry experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience with Golf Genius, GHIN, Chelsea Tee Time System (or similar), and Point-of-Sale software preferred

Essential Responsibilities

Member Experience

• Deliver exceptional service to all members and guests.
• Build relationships by creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Golf Shop Operations

• Assist with the daily opening and closing of golf operations.
• Manage tee sheets and daily golf activities.

• Assist with inventory management and merchandise displays.
• Coordinate club repair and maintain accurate repair records.
• Operate GHIN, Golf Genius, and the club's point-of-sale system.

Tournament Operations

• Assist in planning and executing club tournaments, leagues, and special events.
• Prepare scorecards, cart signs, scoreboards, proximity markers, and staging areas.
• Enter scores, process results, and communicate tournament information.
• Assist with event setup and post-event wrap-up.

Merchandising

• Assist the Merchandise Manager with:
• Ordering merchandise
• Receiving inventory
• Visual merchandising
• Demo club tracking
• Special orders
• Online ordering
• Golf shop promotions
• Vendor relations

Instruction

• Provide individual and group golf instruction.
• Assist with ladies' clinics, junior golf, and player development programs.

• Lead by example while maintaining Glen Eagle's customer service standards.
