Job Summary

Schuylkill Country Club is a Donald Ross designed 18-hole member owned Country Club seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to assist the Head Golf Professional and Golf Management Team by providing an exceptional golf experience for its members and guests. The position will provide superior customer service while assisting the Director of Golf in all aspects of the golf operation including course play, tournaments and outings, lessons, merchandising, training, etc.

Experience Required

Qualifications
  • College/University degree or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience as a Assistant Golf Professional
  • Class A PGA Certification is preferred or actively pursuing a PGA membership in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program
  • 3 years prior golf course experience preferred
  • Knowledge and use of Golf Genius software


Essential Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage the golf instruction and player development program
  • Utilize state-of-the-art teaching and learning theories, and be able to integrate the use of teaching aids, videotape, launch monitors, etc.
  • Develop, implement, and promote club fittings and program equipment sales
  • Create player development and instructional programs across all membership levels
  • Assists Director of Golf with recruiting, hiring, and training the Golf Shop team members in accordance with Schuylkill Country Club operating procedures
  • Manage the daily opening and closing of golf operations as needed
  • Manage the tee sheet and proper charging to member's accounts
  • Manages various types of tournaments from start to finish using Golf Genius software
  • Supervise the use of golf carts and ensure the fleet is well maintained and cleaned daily
  • Manage and maintain the practice range and indoor golf simulator
