Job summary

Kennett Square Golf & Country Club is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to lead an active golf program. A passion for golf and the ability to provide high-quality instruction to members and guests are essential.

Responsibilities include coaching, playing with members, and supporting tournament administration, junior programs, and overall golf operations. This is a full-time on-site position with a strong service mindset.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in the golf industry is preferred.
• Passion for the game of golf is a must.
• Professional image and customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Play with members on a regular basis, and represent Club in local tournaments.
• Assist with tournament administration of member events and outings.

Overview

Kennett Square Golf & Country Club, a Donald Ross designed golf course, is situated on 135 acres in the rolling hills of Chester County, PA. Since its founding in 1922, KSGCC has been a friendly and comfortable haven for its members. Offering golf, racquet sports, and swimming, opportunities abound for good-natured sporting challenges, and lessons with the area's top sports professionals. KSGCC has a very active and friendly membership. There are numerous opportunities for competitive and social golf.

Essential Responsibilities

The role of the right Assistant Golf Professional will be to help lead an active golf program at an enthusiastic club. Passion for the game of golf is a must! The highest priorities will be experience with individual lessons and clinics, pro-member play, and tournament/event administration.

• Provide quality individual and group instruction
• Play with members on a regular basis, and represent Club in local tournaments
• Assist with tournament administration of member events and outings
• Assist in management of junior golf program
• PGA Junior League
• Provide excellent customer services, professional advice, and assistance to all members and guests
• Supervise and manage the total golf operations
• Assist with management of daily play, including member and guest check-in, proper charging of all fees, and supervision of 1st and 10th tees
• Understand and implement Club policies and procedures governing course usage, dress code, guests, etc.
• Management of practice facility
• Supervise, train, and schedule golf personnel
• Assist in golf shop merchandising
• Manage club repair business
• Manage the handicap, and tournament software program
• Manage cart fleet
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times
• Promote all club activities and services
• Assist in planning for the golf operations
