Job summary

Arcis Golf at Cowboys Golf Club in Grapevine, TX seeks an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to support the Superintendent in maintaining the course and surrounding grounds to high standards of quality, playability, appearance and safety.

The candidate will work with turfgrass management, irrigation, chemical applications, equipment maintenance and staff supervision to ensure optimal playing conditions and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance and turfgrass practices.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience operating turf maintenance equipment preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Golf Course Superintendent with daily maintenance and management of the golf course and surrounding grounds.
• Plan and execute daily and seasonal maintenance for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, and landscaped areas.
• Supervise, train, and direct maintenance staff in the absence of or under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Operate and maintain turf maintenance equipment (mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, sprayers, etc.).
• Assist with mowing, edging, trimming, aerification, topdressing, overseeding, fertilization, and other turf practices.
• Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and routine maintenance.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and other turf/lawn products per label and regulations.
• Maintain records of chemical applications, irrigation, weather, and maintenance activities.
• Monitor turfgrass, soil, and environmental conditions and report issues to Superintendent.
• Assist with integrated pest management and environmentally responsible practices.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe maintenance facility and work environment.
• Assist in preparing the course for tournaments, events, and daily play.
