Job summary

Rocky Point Golf Course, part of the Baltimore County Revenue Authority, is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Golf Course Superintendent in Essex, MD. This full-time role supervises turfgrass maintenance staff, coordinates daily activities, and assists with agronomic programs and course setup for tournament preparation.

Minimum qualifications include a Turfgrass Management certification/degree, 3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and pesticide

Qualifications

This position requires a Turfgrass Management certification or related degree.
Minimum of three years of progressive golf course maintenance experience.
Valid driver's license and Maryland Pesticide Applicator Certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

Supervises turfgrass maintenance employees and directs daily duties.
Assists with hiring, training, coaching and performance management.
Conducts daily crew meetings and assigns work.
Promotes safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
Assists in scheduling labor, equipment and resources.
Oversees course setup and tournament preparation.
Coordinates maintenance projects and improvements.
Assists with budgeting and cost control efforts.
