Job summary

La Paloma Golf Club, located in Tucson, AZ, is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Superintendent to join Troon, a global leader in golf and community management. You will support maintenance operations, budget adherence, and staff supervision to maintain high-quality greens and landscapes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 3–4 years of related experience (agronomy/ horticulture preferred) and licenses. Competitive compensation and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science.
• 3–4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent education.
• Degree preference in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/ soil science.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Superintendent to manage the annual maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Helps plan and direct maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs and bunkers.
• Oversees planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees and ornamentals.
• Ensures equipment is properly maintained and purchases remain within budget.
