Job Summary
The Assistant Golf Coach plays a key role in supporting the Head Coach in building and sustaining a competitive NCAA Division II golf program within the Lone Star Conference ( LSC ). This position contributes to all aspects of team operations, including player development, recruitment, training, and program administration.
Working collaboratively with the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach fosters a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with the values and mission of the University of Texas at Dallas ( UTD ) and its Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The program is expected to operate in full compliance with the policies, regulations, and ethical standards set forth by UTD , the LSC , and the NCAA .
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree. One (1) year of coaching experience or two (2) years playing experience in the designated sport.

Bachelor’s degree and two years of previous coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level with a knowledge and commitment to NCAA Division II rules.
Candidates with a master’s degree and 3-5 years collegiate coaching experience, preferably at the NCAA Division I or II level, will receive immediate consideration.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Expected to work extended hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays during athletic seasons. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.., travel by bus or van for extended periods, and stand outdoors for long durations, if applicable. Must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing schedules.

Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record at the time of hire.
Remote Work Notice
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in-office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
