Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Braintree seeks an Assistant General Manager to partner with the GM and run daily operations at our Braintree school, focusing on the aquatics program and curriculum. You will lead swim instruction quality, coach deck staff, and maintain a safe, high-energy pool environment aligned with Goldfish standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and building a positive team culture, with opportunities for advancement within a growing seven-location network.

Qualifications

• Must have aquatics background with 2+ years as swim instructor or equivalent lifeguard/deck supervisor
• Experience leading or training staff, ideally a young hourly team
• Lifeguard, CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required; CPO license after hire
• Strong communication and teamwork with a customer-service mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead aquatics and curriculum across the school, ensuring lessons follow the Goldfish curriculum and safe progression
• Train, observe, and coach swim instructors and deck staff, including in-water training shifts
• Oversee deck supervisors on class scheduling, progress tracking, and lesson quality
• Maintain a safe pool environment and manage daily pool operations
• Partner with the GM to run daily operations per standard procedures and handle staffing coverage
• Support front desk and sales staff with customer service and lead conversion
• Deliver a best-in-class experience for families through on-floor communication and engagement
• Lead internal culture initiatives to improve staff satisfaction and retention
