Qualifications

• Experience coaching lacrosse at a youth or school level is required.
• Solid understanding of girls lacrosse rules and strategies.
• Excellent communication with players, parents, and school staff.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain before season.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions.
• Help develop game strategies and prepare the team for competition.
• Provide instruction on fundamental lacrosse skills, techniques, and rules.
• Monitor and evaluate players' performance, providing constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive, inclusive team culture emphasizing respect and sportsmanship.
• Organize and manage team events, games, tournaments, and fundraisers.
• Communicate with players, parents, and school administration about team matters.
• Ensure safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices and competitions.
• Attend all scheduled team activities and uphold school policies.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience in lacrosse or a strong background as a player.
• Knowledge of the rules and strategies of girls lacrosse.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive team environment.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the season).
• Availability for the entire duration of the lacrosse season, including evenings and weekends.
• A background check may be required prior to hiring.
• A passion for youth sports and player development.
