Job summary

Chicagoland Restaurant Group is seeking a motivated Hospitality Assistant General Manager to oversee day-to-day restaurant operations and guest satisfaction in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. You will lead hourly Team Members, drive sales and profits, and uphold the highest standards of food, beverage, service, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Ideal candidates have prior management experience in supreme-casual to fine-dining settings, with a passion for quality and memorable dining experiences.

Qualifications

  • Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management with supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Food Protection Manager, Allergen, and BASSET certifications required
  • Advanced knowledge of food service regulations and hospitality guidelines
  • Must be organized, skilled with time management, and efficient
  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours per shift
  • Able to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects

Responsibilities

  • Promote the Core Values & Disciplines of the Company through leadership by example.
  • Manage operations of the restaurant.
  • Understand and enforce all Company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and ordinances.
  • Oversee inventory, purchasing, receiving and storage.
  • Maintain harassment-free environment for all Team Members and Managers.
  • Communicate Company direction to all personnel.
  • Resolve guest complaints and recover to build brand loyalty.
  • Train, coach, and develop Team Members; manage hires and payroll records.
  • Maintain professional appearance and cleanliness standards of the restaurant.
  • Uphold safety, security, organization, and cleanliness at all times.
  • Hire, develop, and, when needed, terminate Team Members.
  • Create and manage management schedules within budget guidelines.
  • Schedule Team Members to cover peak periods within budget.
  • Ensure building, equipment, and fixtures are maintained.
  • Maintain overall P & L awareness and accountability.

We are looking for a motivated Hospitality Assistant General Manager to join our team! You will manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring guest satisfaction. You will develop, direct, and supervise hourly Team Members to attain sales and profit objectives while maintaining the highest standards of quality food, beverage, service, cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.

You are a natural leader with previous Manager experience in high-volume, supreme-casual to fine-dining restaurants. You care deeply about good food and exceeding quality standards to create memorable dining experiences. You are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. You have your Food Protection Manager, BASSET, and allergen certifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for promoting the Core Values & Disciplines of the Company, setting the standard for the restaurant through leadership by example.
  • Manages operations of the restaurant.
  • Thorough understanding of all Company policies, procedures, and operating standards.
  • Ensures compliance with operational standards, Company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  • Oversees and assists with the inventory, purchasing, receiving and storage of Company specified products.
  • Ensures a harassment free environment for all Team Members and Managers.
  • Clearly communicates Company direction to all personnel.
  • Resolves all guest complaints, striving for a flawless recovery to build brand loyalty.
  • Trains, coaches, and counsels Team Members and facilitates their development.
  • Manages new hires and changes of status for Team Members to ensure accurate and timely payroll and record-keeping.
  • Maintains professional restaurant and Team Member image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Upholds safety, security, organization, and cleanliness standards at all times.
  • Hires, supervises, develops, and when necessary, terminates Team Members.
  • Creates management schedules, following established Company guidelines and procedures, while maintaining established budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversees the scheduling of Team Members, making sure there are sufficient workers present to cover peak service periods within approved budgetary guidelines, while working toward eliminating Team Member turnover and overtime.
  • Ensures building, equipment, furniture and fixtures are in good repair, clean and maintained on a regular basis.
  • Overall P & L awareness and accountability.
Qualifications:
  • Some college and/or advanced training in food and beverage management plus 2 years of related experience, including supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Food Protection Manager, Allergen, and BASSET certifications required
