The Assistant General Manager of Project Delivery leads the design and construction efforts for the Capital Delivery and Infrastructure Maintenance Division. Responsibilities include overseeing capital projects, including the County-approved Premium Mobility (PREMO) program, to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, quality and timely delivery; supporting preparation of the annual division budget and Five-Year Program to ensure adequate resources are available to successfully carry out the program; managing and supervising staff and resources; and ensuring strong communications and coordination between all aspects of highly-complex major capital projects in the design and construction phases. This role is also instrumental in the delivery of strategic initiatives and providing an excellent customer experience for both internal and external customers.
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or closely related field.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
Requires six (6) years progressively responsible experience in the development of major public transportation projects and infrastructure encompassing various modes such as Light Rail Transit (LRT), Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Commuter Rail, etc. including some experience in the supervisory aspects of the work or closely related experience.
Must obtain and possess a valid Florida Driver's License for duration of appointment
