Job summary

Hotel Equities is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Postcard Cabins Machimoodus in Machimoodus, Connecticut. The incumbent will oversee hotel operations, drive revenue, and ensure compliance with brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires 2+ years of supervisory hotel operations, experience with major brands, and a strong grasp of financial statements and budgeting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory hotel operations experience.
• Experience with major brands (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt).
• Knowledge of financial statements and budgeting.
• Proven ability to deliver guest service excellence.
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Experience with safety programs and training.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate front desk, housekeeping, reservations, guest service, security and maintenance.
• Maximize ADR and occupancy.
• Coordinate communications between Sales and Operating departments.
• Motivate, coach, and train department supervisors.
• Understand financial statements and budgeting, including staffing guidelines.
• Control department head schedule, expenses and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Guide, develop and implement policies, procedures and systems to improve operations.
• Manage all aspects of the safety program, including training, reporting, and incentives.
• Maintain a cooperative and positive work environment.

The Assistant GeneralManager will be responsible for providing exceptional service to every guest while simultaneously maximizing hotel profitability. Furthermore, theDual Assistant General Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all hotel operations are performed professionally and adhere to the brand and company standards. Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

• Directing and coordinating the activities of the front desk, housekeeping, reservations, guest service, security, and maintenance
• Maximizing ADR and Occupancy
• Coordinating communications between Sales and Operating departments
• Motivating, coaching, and training department supervisors
• Understanding financial statements and budget, including staffing guidelines
• Controlling department head schedule, expenses, and implementing cost‑saving strategies

You Are:

• An experienced Assistant General Manager with 2+ years of supervisory hotel operations
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt.
• Knowledgeable in financial statements and budget including staffing guidelines.
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional guest service results as measured through guest satisfaction
• Great at developing, and/or implementing policies, procedures and systems to improve business operations.
• Able to embrace property safety programs to include training, reporting, and incentives.
• Display initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills
