Job summary

Caribou Coffee in Brooklyn Park, MN is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM). This growth position partners with the General Manager to run the store, develop future leaders, and drive growth across the district while fostering a culture of service, hospitality, and ownership.

You will mentor team members toward GM readiness, solve problems in real time, and ensure guest satisfaction through strong leadership, inventory control, and adherence to cash-handling policies.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of prior restaurant/retail experience with strong customer service.
• Able to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates Team Member and Shift Leader duties with enthusiasm and excellence.
• Develops understanding of the business toward GM level over a year.
• Create happy, genuine connections with guests and train the team similarly.
• Lead problem solving and motivate the team to meet goals.
• Aim to hit sales goals through fast, friendly service and accuracy.
• Manage cash handling, orders, inventory, and waste control.
• Understand root causes and drive sustainable store improvements.
• Maintain governance and connection with the GM and brand standards.
