Job summary

Panera LLC in Pensacola, FL is seeking an Assistant General Manager Lead who will partner with the General Manager to run daily bakery‑cafe operations, inspire the team, and deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will hire, train, and develop staff while controlling costs and ensuring quality and safety standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of restaurant management experience, ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain), and flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members while motivating and celebrating the team.
• Assist with managing team performance to ensure goals, standards and guest service expectations are met.
• Partner with the General Manager to develop managers on processes and Panera's values and behaviors.
• Build engaging relationships to grow long-term, loyal guests as part of the bakery-cafe management team.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures and with local regulations.
• Maintain a healthy and safe workplace meeting health and safety standards.
