Panera Bread in South Burlington, VT is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead an amazing team at our neighborhood bakery-cafe. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, delight guests, and grow the business while taking ownership of hiring, training, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, on-boarding, and training of new team members while motivating and celebrating the team.
• Assist in managing team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals and guest service standards.
• Partner with the General Manager to develop managers on processes and Panera’s values and behaviors.
• Ensure every guest is delighted by the quality of our food, service, and team.
