Job summary

Fixins Soul Kitchen in Detroit, MI is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a high-performing team and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced, on-site setting. You will drive guest satisfaction, manage costs and training, and develop restaurant managers, ensuring sales growth, food quality, and sanitation.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will collaborate on policies, scheduling, and performance reviews to maintain exceptional service and a thriving operation.

Qualifications

• Several years’ experience as a restaurant manager at a senior level or similar position.
• Excellent business math skills with the ability to analyze cost reports effectively to drive greater profitability.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, and the ability to be flexible and adapt in any situation.
• Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in the use of internet and ability to utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other appropriate software.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, experience managing large staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Restaurant Managers and staff to achieve results through high-level leadership behaviors and to meet company standards.
• Communicate and model the company vision and brand standards to the management team and hourly staff.
• Schedule labor and manage labor costs to meet business objectives while ensuring staffing coverage.
• Develop staff through training, coaching, and performance management to ensure growth and performance.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations and uphold policy adherence.
