Job summary

Reid's Fine Foods in Charlotte is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations across our specialty retail, café, and foodservice offerings. This hands-on leader will drive exceptional guest service, maintain Reid’s standards of quality and hospitality, and coach a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in foodservice, retail, or hospitality.
• Dependable, detail-obsessed, and open to constructive feedback.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities daily.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong guest service orientation and ability to engage guests daily.
• Punctual with reliable attendance.
• Ability to communicate time-off needs two weeks in advance (no requests between Nov 1 and Dec 31).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs or more.
• Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per shift.
• Ability to check in orders and coordinate with delivery drivers.
• Understanding of monthly margins and inventory expectations.
• Must understand food safety; Serve Safe certification required.

• Oversee product ordering for the store.
• Manage labor budgets and monitor food costs and waste.
• Maintain communications with General Manager, Executive Chef, and delivery drivers.
• Ensure guest service meets Reid’s standards and quality expectations.
• Support monthly inventory processes and scheduling.
• Assist General Manager with interviewing and training.
• Assist with disciplinary actions as needed.
• Support time-sensitive operations under pressure.
