Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers, a network operating across the Northeast and Midwest, is seeking an Assistant General Manager in New Jersey. You will support daily operations, supervise staff, and uphold brand standards while fostering a customer-focused, efficient environment.

The role offers leadership development opportunities, competitive scheduling, and exposure to a broad range of consumer services within a fast-paced travel plaza setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Oversee day-to-day supervision of non-management staff, assign tasks, coach and develop shift supervisors.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during low morale periods.
• Maintain strong leadership and organizational skills; ensure brand standards and procedures are followed.
