Job summary

The h.wood Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager for its New York team, bringing a passion for fine dining and hands-on leadership. You will foster a positive, efficient environment while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires 3+ years in high-volume dining, strong organizational skills, and the ability to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced setting. Become a brand ambassador and support GM with daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a full-service, high-volume dining establishment.
• Must have a Manager-level Food Handlers Card.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks in stressful environments.
• Strong knowledge of front and back of house operations.
• Great decision making and organizational skills.
• Upbeat and energetic attitude. Responsible and trustworthy.
• Attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Respond to customer concerns efficiently and in a professional manner.
• Enforce and offer the best quality of products possible.
• Support restaurant standard practices such as P&L analysis and monthly inventory.
• Manage staff schedules based on forecast and performance measures.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching to improve productivity.
• Act as a brand ambassador for the company.
• Ensure compliance of service and hospitality standards.
• Provide support to General Manager.
• Other tasks as assigned.
