Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assistant General Manager for a fast-paced restaurant in Mount Orab, OH. This permanent, on-site role offers a competitive salary and a path to growth within a family-run business.

You'll manage food costs, inventory, hiring and onboarding, and drive sales while maintaining high food quality and customer service. A hospitality background is preferred but not required, with a strong leadership mindset essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong knowledge of food costs, food inventory, and food budgeting.
• Proven experience in hiring, onboarding, and training staff.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and issues effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
• A degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the General Manager in the overall management of the restaurant operations.
• Managing food inventory, ensuring that the quality and quantity of food supplies meet our restaurant’s standards.
• Overseeing food costs and budgeting, making sure that the restaurant is maximizing profit while delivering excellent food quality.
• Hiring, onboarding, and training new staff members to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability.
• Ensuring compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.
• Handling any escalated customer complaints or issues, ensuring that they are resolved promptly and professionally.
