Applegreen USA Welcome Centers in New Jersey is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure smooth daily operations across our travel plazas. This role offers an entry‑level path into management with hands-on learning and real discretion.

You will lead teams in a fast-paced environment, uphold brand standards, manage cash and inventory, and deliver excellent guest service. The position includes flexible schedules and a benefits package designed to support your growth

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• 2+ years of experience in quick service restaurant management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management staff, assign work, coach shifts supervisors, and develop store operations.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Addressing issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintains awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand relations.
• Ensures the restaurant always looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensures cash management is accurate and daily reports are delivered.
