Job summary

Villa Restaurant Group is opening a brand-new Starbucks location at JFK International Airport, Terminal 6, and seeks a motivated Assistant General Manager to join the opening leadership team.

You will partner with the General Manager to recruit, train, schedule and coach staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure top-quality beverages and service while controlling costs and maintaining standards throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• At least two years of supervisory or management experience in a restaurant, café, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Starbucks leadership experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience leading and developing employees in a fast-paced operation.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with scheduling, labor management, inventory and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing all daily store operations.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching and developing team members.
• Lead shifts and maintain high beverage quality, guest service, cleanliness and food safety.
• Monitor labor, inventory, waste, cash handling and operational expenses.
• Ensure compliance with Starbucks standards, Villa policies, airport requirements and regulations.
